HI Diane!  THANX!!

She's doing well - my family came over on the 12th, 13th & 14th - resulting in lots of photos!  I'm still going thru about 200 of the "darn things"....  But little "Jynx" is looking pretty good.  I didn't take any pics today, yet.

I did get some milk replacer and I'm using it as a supplement added to "Kechi"s feed and today hung a bucket with some in it for the foal herself.  I don't want to stop her from nursing but do want to supplement her.  There are still times when "Kechi" is more intent on moving out of "Jynx"s way &/or actually kicking at her than letting her nurse.

Some pics from the afternoon of the 13th (her B-Day)-

Yesterday, we had our middle daughter's  (Madira) bridal shower.  After getting home, I literally passed out for several hours, then right before dark our youngest daughter and I went out and she worked with ALL 3 of the babies and I took pics.  Only 4 of "Jynx"s turned out, but that's ok.

(and look!!  Her legs are already straightening out!!)

Yes, it's kind of miraculous how those legs straighten out so quickly!  So scary the first time you deal with it, but so wonderful to see them upright and perfect!

and here was her introduction to a halter...  didn't get many pics of her.  Mainly the other two...

Removing the halter and the rope that I used on her body to prevent pulling on her head and neck.

and she moves off to her mum.

Chanda - you are too funny!!

Yes, she's a good looking filly and I'm very pleased with how she is doing.  I may get some updated pics tonight - it's been a very weird week!

Chylly is 3 weeks old today and CharKoal (going to be shortened to Koal) & Jynx are both 2 weeks old today!  Being born on a Friday sure is nice to count things out, LOL.

Thanks all on the replies!  She's definitely staying very tiny and refined!  Hard to believe she is 5 weeks old now.

She hasn't been worked with nearly as much as the other two.  But yesterday, she got a bit of handling and her 3rd or 4th time wearing a halter.  Got a couple of pics of her that turned out - SIL took them, and he doesn't understand why he needs to be down at her level to take them in the proper perspective, LOL!

and a nice head shot that is now used on her web page...

She and the other colt born the same day are both still rocked back on their heels.  They will get their 2nd hoof trims next week at 6 weeks of age.  Hopefully, this 2nd trim works to help bring them up on their hooves properly.  I prefer that they start wearing their legs/hooves correctly and I'm not used to it taking this long, especially when they both seem to be minus other leg weaknesses that seemed to take forever to come out of.
