Nalani - 2017 filly

So, after the death(s) of the 2016 filly, Jinx, and the 2017 filly, Trixie, I didn't really post much.

Here is Nalani.  She was born on the 30th of April.  She is a bay tobiano out of 'Clipse.  Her name came about due to our just having gone to see Moana (Disney animated movie) and her dam is Eclipse.  "Nalani" is Hawaiian for "the heavens".

Our goal with this filly is probably to retain her.  She may in the future be test bred, but then again, maybe not.  The reasoning behind that is due to her being by a stallion that is cryptorchid and out of a mare that has also produce a double cryptorchid colt (and he still is right now).  But for now, she is developing rather nicely. 

I don't have any trot or gallop pics that have turned out in a while.  I'll work on that.

I now have all 4 of the mares with foals out in the same pasture.  The foals are still learning about each other, but coming along!
