A neutering we will go...
« on: April 04, 2017, 01:36:43 AM »
B2, Siamese house cat, about 8 months old is scheduled for 8am neutering at the vet clinic, Tuesday morning.  I had a meeting in town today, so took him down this afternoon, and he'll be able to come home after 2PM.
so, just for good measure, B2 (the cat), let me know what he thought of his trip to town for neutering... He got car sick, and puked and then pooped in his kennel, so I had to pull over and clean up.  Bagged the stinky, and when I got to the clinic asked if they had a place for "toxic waste disposal".    I remembered after the incident, that many cats ride better if their kennel is covered.  After the incident, I covered the kennel and he was fine the rest of the way to town; don't think I'll forget to cover for the ride home.

Sorry B2, but this is a necessary health task!  Sorry the trip went so awkwardly at first!

At least boys recover very quickly, since their surgery isn't as invasive as spaying a female.
Since I'm on my kindle, I'll try to remember to load a picture when on the computer.

Absolutely, and I always have my cats neutered, especially the boys that live in the house.  Better cleanliness, less smell and no spraying!

Picture of B2 from January, so he's a bit bigger now.
He's home, and he doesn't seem to notice he's missing bits...

Such a pretty boy!  I love the Siamese and have had several in my life.  Right now, after the loss of my Flame Point, I rescued a Lynx Point Siamese boy -- with no "parts" !!

I also am an avid fan of neutering/spaying cats. Unless they are top pedigree breeding cats, that don't leave the house, they don't need the sex organs.

Why B2 for the name? He looks very lovely...is he a talker? Does he like water? My grandmother used to breed Siamese. Her cats were very talkative, and liked water. Her main sire, Ching, would even come to the river and swim with us. My favorite thing to do with him was to go fishing. I'd bring and inner tube, and he'd drape himself over it. Then we'd put a rope on the tube, float him over a shallow pool where fish were resting, and wait for him to jump in and catch them!

We  had our Siamese, Blue, for 9 years; he had somewhat poor health from the start, and we lost him last June, he never seemed to fully recover from his dental the previous Oct or Nov (vet cleaned his teeth and had to remove 3 rotten teeth).  He was just never the same after his dental.
Anyway, we thought 4 house cats were enough, so we weren't looking to add a cat, but there was a litter of barn kittens last summer and one was Siamese (other two black; mom is Siamese).  Come fall and cooler weather, Shayne was like "bring him in at night", that lasted all of about 4 nights, until he was in 24/7 and named B2, as he was Blue Too.   He came in the house the first week of November at 24 oz, he is now about 8#.
[These cats that I call Siamese, I don't know if they have true Siamese in them, but they are all pointed.  Most are just standard brownish points, but there is one flame point (I think that is right, he's dilute red), at least one lynx point (I think maybe two actually, second is harder to tell as he has white markings too) and one is grey point.]

Sounds like they must have Siamese in them some where to get that color pointing!  They all sound really pretty!

Letting you know that way is so not fun, though!

Yea, B2, welcome to the rest of your life.  It should be a long and good one.

I missed one question...
Yes, he is a talker.   His predecessor, Blue, didn't talk as much.

I do up to a point; some just squawk around with nothing to say, others seem to have conversations with you.
