Day 285 from last cover date. Sassy is progressing quickly. I still feel movement. I am a wee bit concerned how fast she's moving along. Is this concern warranted being she is still 2 weeks from day 3oo? Earliest I've had a mare foal was 311.
Picture are from over last several days

Hopefully her udder will settle a little , she is progressing quite quickly but you know too well how mares can be , so hoping its just part of that "up and down" period  ;pray

Sassy seems to be holding steady. She's been very uncomfortable. But so far all is well!

Day 295. Lots of up and down changes in her udder. Yesterday she got a bath and brushing. She was such a good girl. I love how she has come around.
Feeling very good that she's close to day 300.

I am really hoping for a keeper filly! I adore this mare so much. She is my sweet sass a frass. We have really bonded over this past year. I hope she doesnt decide I am evil once her foal arrives!
No new udder changes but her muscles around her tail head are really starting to relax. The vulva is starting to elongate and were seeing a deeper pink inside.
She has been laying down resting A LOT, pressing and rolling too. Shes not very wide, but its foal #2 so not very low either.
Almost 300 days now so I am preparing the foaling cabinet in the barn. She is on barn cam every night.

Thank you! I dont expect much in the way of cool soon but at least weve had enough rain! Dry is miserable so this is a blessing. We still have green grass instead of grass spikes!
Meanwhile, Sassy is still hanging the same... I am so excited for big changes!!

Just standing quietly and eating.  All looks good.  Regular manure in the stall -- no cow patties, so we wait.........
