Nell is still holding onto her foal(s)! :(
« on: May 31, 2016, 03:00:45 PM »
Hi Everyone!
Well, our Nell is still holding out and as big as ever. Her bag is full, and tight, her stomach almost reaches the ground and she is still hanging onto her foal(s)!  We sure are worried about the impending birth with hopes of it going smoothly for Nell.
I looked up her pedigree on AMHA and found that she did have two other foals about ten years ago give or take, so at least we know she knows what she is doing and will care for her baby once it or they arrive.
I am attaching another pic of her for you to all see how she is just huge.
Thanks for all the comments and kind wishes...will post foal pics once she delivers.  :)

Oh wow she is massive! Another for the  "and you think your mare is fat" thread lol

I hope shes got only one brewing in there though for her sake.

She definitely needs to go into the "Wide load" Pinned thread :)

Best wishes as she nears foaling and for the BIG event  , They sure like to keep you guessing :)

Nell is doing very well now and so is her colt, Red Ball Jet..aka  Jet. Jet is truly a jet black and very shiny boy. He is the richest black I have seen and I think even though he has appy characteristics he will remain black like his daddy, Hot Shot.
Here are a few pics of him. He is a hoot!

What a smart young man! I hope he stays black for you - true blacks are really striking in my opinion.   :)

We're into the New Year, and I'm curious as to how Jet is maturing. Did he continue to develop Appy characteristics? When he lost his foal coat were there SPOTS hiding anywhere? How is your program coming and are you expecting any foals this year?
