So Meadow and I went off to our first BIG show today. Proper mini show, with an actual mini judge, not just this local crap that have donkey judges!

WELL!! She was amazing. Just fab form. She took 2nd in a huge and very strong PROPER class - the winning filly was simple out of this world, so to be 2nd to her was...wow. To be second in this calabre of show at all was wow!!

Im just so so proud of my little first born. Here is a photo comp a very talented photographer at the show did...im in awe :)

Bit of a while since a meadow update. Shes now got to the point shes her mothers twin. In fact when they are walking to me i sometimes can't tell the difference until i see them closer and i sometimes do a double take in photos lol shes still a very sweet little mare and still oh so very independent. She doesn't bother much with the herd, so separation anxiety is not going to be a problem! Shes just so very like her mum in every way. She still has a thing for cats though, can't have a cat abut her lol. Maybe shes a stallion.

Well poor Meadows first show was not at all good. I was just about to go in to the ring when a stallion was allowed to get too close and he turned and kicked both back legs out at us. Thankfully i got 90% of the blow (ouch) but she did get a scrape. It was all such a rush i didn't even know what to do so i went on in and she placed 4th despite being a little traumatized. She didn't show well at all of course. Later she got 2nd thankfully, and was a bit better.  But my overwhelming feeling is that She just doesn't seem into it.

That being said...judges LOVE her. They just never place her any higher than 3rd or 2nd. Most say its because of her showing...as in her trot. She just doesn't get a good face on...she trots lovely, but her face is sour.

So with that i have been looking more into it and she has a tight hamstring on the left and a tight neck...so ive been given some massages and stretches to do. So we will see. But shes not going to be shown much more this year.

She is bloody gorgeous, a really nice horse, but she doesn't show that off.
