Title: Phone forum
Post by: Rocklone on May 30, 2016, 05:24:32 PM
Does anyone know if there is a way to set up a phone style for this forum? I tend to check mostly on my phone and I find it quite difficult to use as its tiny writing :(

I'll send Marty to your post, and see if he knows.  I haven't a clue.

I'll look into it Rocklone. I know this forum software is device responsive but there may be a layout theme that is phone specific.

OK the other theme that comes packaged with the software is supposed to be more device responsive.
I haven't done any of the customizations on it, but I enabled it so you can try it out.
Go to your profile, then modify profile - look and layout. In the current theme section click on change.
Then under SMF Default - Curve click on use this theme.
Check it out and let me know if it's better on your phone.
If it is I'll add Diane's customizations to that theme as well and let members choose the one they prefer.

WOW!  Thank goodness someone is technically sound.  Sometimes I do well, but mostly I have to be shown the first time, then I can generally catch on!

I was much better in the DOS days, and could program.  Now, I just enjoy the people that can, and count myself as a "can not" !

I might try it though!

I learned a bit of DOS in college, but when everything became preprogramed and push button, I pretty much forgot it.

Me too.  I used to run a 60 computer network in DOS, at 3 different locations, and managed quite well.  Of course, that's when we all thought that a 40 meg drive would hold us for years!!  Funny how things change so much!

Now, without Marty's help I'd be in the dark!

Yep, I often need help from someone more versed in computers, but by the same token, there have been times I've known more than someone and been able to help (just not very often).

unfortunately due to the modify profile being a popup layer you can't access it on your phone :(

yes, I was unable to modify it on my phone too. I modified it on my computer but then I lost the "show unread posts since last visit" option. Any ideas where it is with the SMF Default option?
Thanks

No, I take that back, I found it right up the top :) Now I am getting used to this new lay out and I like it!  ;D
Thanks
