3 days old first time out. Got to play in fenced in garden area, and our Great Pyrenees got to see him for the first time.

He is quite the little showman, and loves attention. I noticed he also has blue eyes, I wonder if that will change? He also has mottleing around his mouth and possibly his eyes. I can also see some darker spots in the light hair around his muzzle

Hard to tell in the pictures, but many foals are born with blue eyes that darken with age. I've been told there is a difference in color/shade between those that stay blue and those that eventually turn brown/amber; but I haven't paid close enough attention with mine to notice.

Yes, his blue eyes will change (IMHO) and his snowcap will grow!!

He got a face clip today!!! Fell asleep in our arms while getting it done! He has such a tiny head under all that fluff!!Can't wait to clip all of him.

I just can't get enough of him!
His little teeth are in now. I love first thing in the morning when I let them out, h runs and plays nickering away.
I hope to get all my mares foaling around the same time so that the foals have friends to play with. So Precious is being held back from breeding as long as possible.

I don't know what color he will end up Ryan....I thing black with white but color shift from Appaloosa may make him look silvery.

We took him on the porch and he was a bit nervous, called to mom a few times then decided it was ok :)

Did you send in for the Appy package?
I think it's red factor, agouti, Lp, Ptn1, and splash for like $65. [I'll see if I can find the link.]
I think I want to try it on Spotty, see if he got splash from his daddy or not, think not; and, then check his appy status.

I did LP & patrn 1 only.
Yesterday I spent long hours filling in his ancestory on all breed ped. Today I spent hours getting his A&R paperwork ready to send in... Phew! Glad its done!

We might have sort of relatives. Spotty's maternal grandsire is a Hidden Meadows bred horse. [Hidden Meadow is way back on Shadow's pedigree; like double or triple great grandsire on maternal side.]

I'm happy to send you any pedigree information you need, as sometimes you have to cross-reference between the AMHA and AMHR and I have both studbooks. Just let me know.

He is a pretty little colt, I like his big eyes. It's always interesting to see how much more refined they can be once they're clipped. Has he had his first pedicure yet?

I cannot tell a lie....my favorite one of him (and one I've shown to about a dozen adult, and about 40 children!) is when he was put in time-out in the pasture!!

I am very much taken with his long legs, and his beautiful little barrel -- as you can nicely "divide" him into 3 nice sections. He has a very nice neck and clean throat latch. Very well put together!

Already done! Precious finished breeding June 7th, so waiting to see if shes back in next week or two... Fingers crossed she settles!

OMG I just LOVE this foal... one month til; he leaves and I am going to enjoy every minute left.
