We aren't as cold as some places, but pretty cold with wind this morning.
Che` was shivering this morning, so I drug his blanket out of the tote and put it on him. Left them to eat, I came back to turn them out, and when I let Che` out, Tilly was on the defensive, like she didn't recognize Che` in his blanket. Now, she's not a fan of his in the first place, but she usually just pins her ears and moves away; today, she was kicking towards him (no contact) and being extra naughty. Hopefully, it doesn't take her long to realize who it is, and settle down.

Tilly thinks you got a new horse :) I wonder how long till she realizes who it is :)

Che` was ready for his stall tonight.

Hope he wasnt too battered and bruised

I think just his ego.
He was happy to have his blanket. I might need to get him a warmer blanket for future cold winters, and slightly bigger to fit over his fluff. I thought I had a nice comfy stable blanket for him, but I can't find it.

If you are like me, you do have that blanket, you just wont find it until you have purchased the new one lol

That wouldn't be all bad, except that he's my smallest adult, so no one else would fit his size. Pretty sure Belle will likely how grow his size, too.

Our temps dropped, table is turned... Had to blanket Tilly this morning, she's never shown signs of being cold, we've been 20 below before while I've had her and she's not shivered, but today's chill factor is something else. She wasn't too sure about it, but seemed quite happy once I finished making the adjustments, the belly strap almost isn't long enough for her, she definitely can't get any fatter.
Che` wasn't shivering this morning in his stall, but I put his blanket on him before letting him out, just to be sure.
And, I put a blanket on Bonny, while she hasn't shown much signs of shivering, she is currently my thinnest mare, so figured better safe than sorry. Sophia doesn't know what to make of Bonny in a blanket and didn't want to come very close. Bliss was curious, but not too worried.
I had Shayne drop their round bale I their feeder so I wouldn't have to fight the wind to feed hay the next few days.
Don't think I'll be going to my quilt meeting tomorrow in town, it's at night, and this cold and snow is supposed to continue, so best I'm not out in it after dark.

So glad everyone is surviving this horrid frigid cold! Keep us posted!!

Not til later in the week, but as we still have a couple more months of winter, it won't be very warm for awhile.
Got the snowblower on the tractor today, so might get the road/driveway cleared tomorrow, and have a chance for a trip to town Wednesday (Shayne ahs a dental appointment).
