I see a couple of others were peeking in on her now. She's still wide though, so guess she'll hang on a bit more to paint on some extra spots.

I forget Holly, how long have you had an appaloosa focused breeding program?

This is my first attempt at mini Appaloosas. Do I am excited to see what we get!
Just an update on Precious. Her udder area is shaved so I wonder if that is what's making her shape look off.
She is doing great same little udder, still huge wide and low. Still jello but, vulva tight.
Let's hope she cooking spots!!

Yes I own the sire, he is my little leopard appy.
Precious udder was up this morning, it's a little bit bigger but felt meatier than it's been. The picture doesn't look much different but the size by feel does!
She is also shedding like crazy, where none of the others are. I always noticed that on Kate as foaling got closer.Kate always foaled in jan/Feb too.

One of our biggies used to shed as she was getting closer to foal. It was a good indication to us that she was getting close as she didnt usually get much of an udder until she foaled.

Gotta take any indications or hints that these sneaky mares give us :)

Udder about the same today. Still shedding like crazy. Started having softer poo last night.
her tail head seems more relaxed but honestly it could be because she is shedding so much. Vulva isnt light pink anymore. Nothing at all to test from udder.

Yes agreed , Plenty of spots coming :)

It could just be my computer but looking at the last two udder shots , I think there is a little more filling in the last shot ....

i think maybe just a bit, and it doesnt go down much by evening.
I am struggling a bit with her for a few reasons. One is that I just havent foaled her out before so dont know what she will do. Another is that some things about her seem closer than others. ( ive always felt like once all signs meet we will see a foal, but I know from others that isnt always true) I am so used to the size of big horse udders that when I feel her udder for changes it seems so tiny to me. Though when I look at it I dont see a foaling udder , but I know that an udder that looks like that can fill pretty quickly, or drag on quite a while.
I am a bit worried that I am going to miss this foaling because I wont have all the signs I need. I am not even sure why I feel that way.

Try not to worry too much Holly. After reading and following your threads over the last few years, you set a wonderful example to other owners expecting foals. Your always prepared, you keep us updated on changes, ask for opinions and you do all possible to ensure your little ones arrive safely into the world.

Ive seen many threads where some expecting owners could really take a leaf out of your book.

Fingers crossed that all goes well for you both ;pray. It will be interesting to look back on this thread next year if you put in her foal to see if her signs are the same.

Ryan  :)
