Here are my two boys from Topper's first crop in 2012, so they are now 4 and geldings (gelded in 2014).
They aren't as fat as these pictures seem to show.
-
awesome :) handsome guys!
-
Oops, guess I should have labeled it for those that weren't there when they were born.
Both are by Topper, bay son of Buckeroos Top Cat.
Manny is the silver smokey black on the left; he's out of Bonny (cremello daughter of Little Kings Buckeroo God). Monte is the grulla in the middle; he's out of Tana (granddaughter of Hilltop's Little Vegas).
And, on the right is Dakota, he's my first mini, another Buckeroo grandson; he's 12 this year, I think.

Thank you, I appreciate it.

What a great photo , As i glanced over towards my PC screen I actually read the topic of the thread as " No more Babies" Thank goodness that wasn't the case :)
I wear glasses for the computer - Might need to get my eyes tested lol
They are growing into strapping young ladies and gentleman :)
-
They are growing up so nicely and soooo handsome!!!
-
Thank you.

I'm especially fond of Monte. I only had 1 grullo colt born here, and Deb has him now since he was pure Falabella, and I just love their coloring! So pretty!

If I breed them again, I have a shot at another, although a filly of any color next time from Tana would be nice. Might not wait as long next time, perhaps will try pasture breeding again next summer. give Topper an extra week to get all 3 girls.
-
Sounds like a plan, for sure! I can't wait!!
-
Me too and fingers crossed that there maybe a Tilly baby next year ;pray

We could hope! ;pray ;pray

You guys keeping praying, and maybe it'll happen, but I'm still not holding my breath.
-
Well, honestly, I'm not holding my breath either, as my grandkids would not be happy if I stopped breathing over a waiting on a long-ears baby, but I am crossing everything!!

It's not worth turning blue and passing out.
I got sidetracked with the trip to the vet, so missed my opportunity to hand cover Baybe, she was in for a day or two before the trip, but I've not seen Che` interested since. Rats.
-
POOH!! She has such nice little ones!!

I wouldn't know, I haven't seen one yet. She lost the only foal she had here; she came bred and slipped it the year I brought Tilly home. And, she only has one registered foal; but I'm pretty sure she had like 4-5 before I bought her, just not all registered.
-
Oh, I'm thinking of another mare, I guess. Maybe it was Mary at Target that had a Baybe or Baylee, that produced some beautiful babies.
Sorry I got confused, but this old mind, and so many horses over the years! :-[
-
That's ok.
Here's my little Baybe.
-
Love the white legs!
-
I had the right picture in my mind, but not the right history. DUH!

With all the ponies in your head, it's no wonder you get mixed up occasionally.

Finally got a picture of it. Monte's appy characteristics are manifesting in an odd manner.
Monte is a grulla with all the characteristics; dorsal, legs bars, face mask, etc.
Look what his appy is doing...
-
When he was a two year old, he had a crisp, clear dorsal:
-
How old is he now ? On a side note any possibility of HC foals next year ? ;pray

Six.
No foals, last year's drought and crappy hay has mares still playing catch up with condition.
-
Fair enough , I know it was a cold icy winter for you, did you manage to get any much needed rain?
Im over the cold here but would be really grateful for some rain. Id hate to think what feed prices are going to be next year ::)
My cousin just emailed me to ask if I was going to breed my two mares for next year. I was considering it, but just dont know now ..............
-
We had decent rain this summer, but it was often followed by heat and rain, so it didn't do as much as it could have.

That looks very unique. Never seen anything like it. It's not really "lacing" but it will be interesting to see what happens! ~~Diane

I'm not sure, but since he's appy, I think it's snowflaking that is concentrating on his dorsal.

Sounds like we could both do with more rain and less snow , wind and cold in general :)
